itsmedunc Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Granted folks, I have had a few beers but I don't know what this guy is on about? I don't know if its the blue font or the lack of grammar but it makes hard reading? I cant read beyond line 2. It makes me want to die. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/bitsa-bass-tele-style-original-peg-head-precision-style-fender-strap-gigbag-/261343029272?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item3cd9422818 Surely, my mother didn't bring me into this world to to die like this... itsmedunc Posted December 6, 2013 Author Posted December 6, 2013 I have tried more than once and I still want to die before line 3? Quote
Ou7shined Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 The pic of the back of the headstock has made my day Btw. I think he's speaking in Welch. We need a translator. Quote
Donnyboy Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 How is it the morning after the night before? Any more appealing? Quote
yepmop Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 It truly is a FrankennonFender totally hideous in my eyes and a description to match. Quote
Hobbayne Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 It needs the pickup replaced with a single coil Tele style pickup set off centre in the hole, so you can see the wires Quote
Bassassin Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Classy. Easy translation of garish blue text - ineptly assembled piece of garbage made mostly from shoddy junk parts. Two nice vintage tuners on it (Gotoh Resolites) - presumably he binned the others because they "WHERE A BIT LOOSE" - shame he didn't notice the torque adjuster screws. Beer of the Bass Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 At least the seller's name is refreshingly honest. Would you expect good workmanship from a guy called badworker1? Quote

Roger2611 Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 I read it and thought my brain was on the blink, Stanley Unwin - esque at its finest Quote
JapanAxe Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 I think I sold a bit of kit to this guy once on eBay, but thankfully I'm certain it wasn't anything that would have ended up on that... item Quote
the hand of john curley Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 I'm a primary school teacher....and most of my year 3 class could put this 'persuasive text' together more effectively and with less errors..... Quote
itsmedunc Posted December 7, 2013 Author Posted December 7, 2013 Now thats interesting. How are they at lego and getting the right peg for the right hole? They could perhaps compile an educational package for the seller! Quote
the hand of john curley Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Well coincidentally...they have recently done a very similar guide for a chap from 'cleartone guitars'....he needed a guide to turning perfectly acceptable 7 string guitars into utterly butchered monstrosities !.....😁 Quote

Ktmman Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 (edited) Dammit !!! I was going to bid until i noticed the screw missing from one of the tuners !!! That ruins it for me . But it was good of him to point out that something was wrong with this fine example - Edited December 8, 2013 by Ktmman Quote
Cat Burrito Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 I didn't read the blue text as I was busy enjoying the pictures too much Quote
Bassman Sam Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Just shows that bass building and drugs don't make good bedfellows. Quote
gjones Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 I think what he was trying to say was 'buy this piece of sh*t'. Quote

ezbass Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 A sad indictment of people's 'couldn't care less' attitude to grammar and punctuation once they leave school. I teach this stuff day in, day out; once children and adults get near a PC or mobile telephone, it all goes out of the window. Quote
the hand of john curley Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Apologies! I should indeed have used 'fewer errors' as the errors themselves are countable. If the 'devil may care' remark was aimed at me then I assure you that this is certainly not the case. I made a genuine mistake-albeit ironically, given the topic-as opposed to the truly awful eBay advert! In the meantime.....I'll get my coat! Quote
