casapete Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Last few years we've done 'Please come home for Christmas' (Charles Brown/Eagles/BonJovi). I've done 'Run Rudolph run' (Chuck/Keef) too, little known but fits our band/audience well. Quote
PaulWarning Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 fairytale in new york, don't you need a male and female singer for that?, to do it justice anyway. We're doing Slade this year, although I quite like doing Gary Glitter's another rock and roll christmas, at least you don't hear it a lot on the radio lol Quote
Urban Bassman Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Done Slade in the past - nice bass line Quote
PaulWarning Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 oh yeah, we also do Anti Nowhere League's I Hate People, but change People for Christmas, bah humbug Quote

Dave_the_bass Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 We did a, verging on death, metal arrangement of Frosty th Snowman. It went down really well. We were also working on a similar style arrangement of walking in the air. Quote

gary mac Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 At last nights gig we stuck the Slade one in during the encores. I enjoy that bass line. A couple of weeks back we rehearsed a mash up of Wizard and Slade, so that will be getting an outing over the next few weeks. Quote

My 'entry level' band did it last Xmas, at my suggestion. I' ll draw a veil over how well we succeeded. Lets just say it was not a triumph :-( Quote
