Annoying Twit
So many of these appear on ebay, damaged in the same way. It's been said before that they're probably being piled too high on top of each other during transport. But, it certainly makes me wonder if there's some sort of design fault in there somewhere. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Round-Back-Electro-Acoustic-Bass-Guitar-by-Gear4music-Damaged-RRP-100-/301037565399?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item46173cb5d7 Edited December 7, 2013 by Annoying Twit
Thunderbird
I bought a bass from G4M and it was as if a 2 year old had packed it me thinks this is why they have so much damaged stuff on ebay
BetaFunk
I bought a 'B Stock' guitar from them which i made into a 2-String Bass. The packaging was very flimsy but it arrived undamaged and for 40 quid including postage it was a bargain.
itsmedunc
I bought a Redsub 500w 1x10 combo from their ebay auction (promethean clone). It was described as faulty with low distorted output for £74.00. When I got it I turned the mute button off and 'bingo' it was working fine and still is. I thought that they didn't bother checking their returns after that.

I would guess that they have gone through considerable abuse and mistreatment at some point in their life. The above posts on inadequate packaging may be the clue, but I would think it would require more than just that.
Annoying Twit
There are 18 Gear4Music damaged acoustic bass sold listings, and another 7 which are currently running. http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/Bass-/4713/i.html?_sop=10&_from=R40&_nkw=electro+acoustic+bass+gear4music&LH_PrefLoc=1&LH_Complete=1&rt=nc How does one company end up with twenty five damaged acoustic basses in such a short period of time? Bassmonkey
Perhaps they've employed a young lad called Townshend in their test department?
