Someone here used super glue, a little but not too much in case you need to replace in future.

Gorilla glue? It sticks anything (including metal and stone!) so should do the job :)

Regular PVA or even glue gun stick. Advantage of these is that heat (via soldering iron) will allow removal at later date if needed. Roughen the underside of nut with coarse file or similar. I have used basses with the nut just held in by string tension and no problems - strange as it might seem.

Superglue is fine - just use a small drop. It is easy to unstick again with a light tap, and doesn't usually take any wood with it. Don't really stick it down with anything strong (epoxy) you just want it to stay put.

If its for a fretless Chris don't use superglue. I had a nut replaced by Jon Shuker on a Ray 5 fretless a few years back because if was having a fretboard level and skim. He had a helluva job removing the nut and he had to repair the board behind the nut as small pieces pulled away with the nut.

A small dab/spot of clear silicone sealant. Its rubbery when dry, and will prevent any damage to the wood beneath should you ever need to remove the nut
