Well , it certainly looks like it might have come from Tesco but you may be right. I think there's something similar in Music Ground 'upstairs' in Leeds.

Sort of a bit of Burns , a bit of Watkins Rapier , a bit of early Japan etc etc. Weird.

Not a Teisco, in fact I don't think it's Oriental at all. 60s Eurotrash, in my opinion, possibly an Egmond or one of the more conservative Italian builders.

I'll go & do a bit of diggin'. :)

Well - not quite! This is the closest thing I've found, not identical but there's a family resemblance:

Although the more I think about it, the more I think I've seen that snot-scratchplated horror before - probably in a nightmare...

Edit: Oh, OK - close, then - it's a Russky, not East German:

'Appen I can, bonny lad.

That'll be an Epiphone ET-280, from around 1974, made in Japan by Aria or Matsumoku. This one has not been improved by the partial removal of its finish.

Payment in used Rickenbackers, please.

Yeah I couldn't work out if it had been part stripped, or if it was supposed to have a two-tone scheme.

..used Rickenbacker in the post.
