Jellyfish
I'm hoping this will be a pretty simple question but I'm hoping you guys can help me clear it up. I've owned a few compressors in the past, mainly just to -gently- even out what comes out of the amp. They all have done the same job for me but I'm perplexed as to what makes a compressor good over, let's say, one that is just 'okay'. In other words, why is spending £200+ on a compressor going to be better than spending £100?

elephantgrey
Someone should really sticky a link to that website, its the answer to so many compression threads here. Edit: grammar... pete.young
Someone should also fix the blog so that 51m0n's excellent 'everything you need to know about compressors' post is available once again.
