Following a Topic

It's entirely possible that I'm being stupid here, but here goes....

How does 'follow this topic' work? I click the button to follow, and nothing happens, even though there have been subsequent replies. Is there something else I need to do?

Once you have clicked the button, the topic will appear in the 'Content I Follow' list in the pull-down menu next to your user name at the top of the page. You should also get a message every time a new post is submitted, unless you uncheck that option.

There is a second window that comes up above the button. Choose how often you want to be informed and then click "Follow this topic".

Thanks. I was not aware of the 'content I follow' button. I can see stuff in there! Still no notifications, will have a play around.

Just to point out, the 'follow' feature doesn't always work.

It's a known issue with the current software version we're using but should be fixed in the next planned upgrade.
