Elvis Valentine Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Howdy folks, I was wondering if someone with a bit more electronics savvy than myself could tell me how feasable these mod ideas are to the pedal. 1 - moving the OD tone and the crossover freq controls (on the underside of the pedal and need a screwdriver to turn) to the side or the top of the pedal and putting normal pots on them so they can be used more easily? 2 - Somehow making the fuzz level (Big main dial that changes colour from green to red) controllable via a volume pedal (and maybe somehow keeping the light effect if at all possible cause its awesome lol) There is a huge ammount of space inside this pedal and from what i can tell the first mod would'nt be too difficult. But the 2nd i have no idea about whatso ever. Gut shot here... cheddatom Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 I can't see from the photos but if the big knob is just a potentiometer you could wire it to a stereo jack and plug in an expression pedal with the same ratings as the knob-pot Quote
Elvis Valentine Posted December 11, 2013 Author Posted December 11, 2013 Right ok, i dont actually know. Would that be a relatively straight forward job? Quote
cheddatom Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 It all depends on the pot the knob is connected to. I'd open it up, expose the back of the knob and/or pot, and take a photo. Potentially it's easy, you'd just solder 3 wires to the pot and 3 to a stereo jack socket. Then you need to drill a hole for a socket and you're done. Quote
Elvis Valentine Posted December 11, 2013 Author Posted December 11, 2013 OK man thanks. Thats all a bit beyond me but it sounds like it'd be easy if you know your way around a soldering iron. Now yo find an electronics wiz :-) cheers. Quote
Elvis Valentine Posted December 11, 2013 Author Posted December 11, 2013 Cheers meddle, There is indeed a tonne of room inside the enclosure. Quote
