Jazz bass control knob question

I know it doesn't make one bit of difference but which way does the indicator on the control knobs usually point when the control is fully open?

Kn mine if you think of the pickups pointing downwards North, then the indicator points NW.
Of course you can pull them off and replace them at a different position on the spline

Only way I think for an 'official' answer is to look back at the original brochures from when they came out.

But I have mine pointing directly up parallel with the neck.

I usually have mine pointing at quarter to two. But sometimes I take them off and refit them so they point to half past three (but, I'm a bit of a free spirit and that's just the way I roll).

I see you have a Squier, you could try asking on the Fender forums.
