Freddie75
Hi all, I have found a lushious tone using my Streamliner 900 with an aguilar tone hammer preamp pedal running through my gb neox 212t cab - I am running the pedal through the input of the amp rather than the preamp in on the back as it sounds so much nicer (imo). I have 2 of these cabs however the streamliner runs a min of 4ohms meaning I'm unable to use the cabs together. I also have a crown power amp (which can run at 2ohms) however I cannot get the same tone through it. Is there another solution? Basically I want a streamliner or something very similar that can run 2 x 4 ohm cabs. Sorry if this sounds like I'm talking s**t! Thanks in advance Freddie
JapanAxe
Buy yourself a Serialiser box from OBBM of this parish. This will allow you to run both 4ohm cabs whilst presenting your amp with an 8ohm load. If you want to try it with mine, PM me - I am in Swindon too! Freddie75
That sounds great, I may take you up on the offer. How big is the box?
JapanAxe
You may! The box is completely passive and is the size of a small fx pedal. You need 3 Speakon cables to connect it all up.

JapanAxe
No mystery, just a simple wiring fix:
Salt on your Bass?
Is there any real benefit going this route? At 8 ohms, the Amp offers up around 500 watts, so 250 per cab. It seems a lot of gear to carry for what would be a negligible(?) up lift in volume - although I guess you'd havunie much mire solid lows.(?) Have you tried slaving your power Amp from your streamliner at all as a possible solution? Edited December 17, 2013 by Salt on your Bass?
