Annoying Twit Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Not very newsworthy, but this seems a decent deal to me. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bass-Guitar-/310823024257?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item485e7ef681 I like the natural look, and it seems like quite a bit of bass for £75. I thought there was some discussion of these recently and people were saying that they were a decent quality copy. Quote
allighatt0r Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Shame, bit far for collection from me, that's a lot of bass for not a lot of money, especially for the mod happy types (which I seem to be turning into)... Quote
Greggo Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 I've got a 5'er version of one of these - really nice bass to play once set up, the necks are very comfortable. I pulled out the stock pre-amp and installed a stingray 2 band clone and it really sings now. Think mine is newer than this though, as mine has updated headstock shape. . Quote
uncle psychosis Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 I had the passive one from the same era and for £75 its a great wee thing. Not sure how good the preamp will be though. Quote
Thunderbird Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 I think these Vintage basses are great and they are very under rated they run rings around most other makes in there price range Quote
itsmedunc Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 A mate of mine uses one of these, it sounds great. It will be stock as he isn't tinkerly minded. I've never actually played it though... Quote
Ian Savage Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Would have snapped that up if I'd been close enough to collect, brilliant bit of kit. Quote
alyctes Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 These are excellent for the cost, I gave mine to our drummer for his 18th Quote
Annoying Twit Posted December 24, 2013 Author Posted December 24, 2013 This also looks like a lot of MusicMan-ish bass for the money. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331089337025?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 Quote
