Visiting the UK in February/March - shops with decent selection of Basses?

I'm coming to the UK next year and wondering what shops are worth visiting as I might buy myself a late Christmas present. I'll be staying in the Kings Cross area, so will be getting around by train and walking.

Can walk from Kings Cross to the gallery in about 15 minutes .. bit grumpy in there, but far and away the best selection of basses in London.

1 hour 15 minutes by train to Leamington Spa from Marylebone gets you to Bass Direct, who have a lot of interesting stuff.

This is a recommendation I can get behind! Seriously though, our bass department has come on leaps and bounds in the last 1-2 years. If you're coming down, call ahead and we'll make sure we have everything you want to try on the shop floor.

don't bother coming to Newcastle. Shops have 94% guitars......... and don't get me started on left-handed basses !!!!

Bass Gear at Twyford is an easy and quickish train ride away too.
