String gauges??

Bit of advice needed.
If I change the strings on my Jazz bass (or any of my basses) for a lighter gauge will I have to adjust the truss rod relief ??

I did when I went lighter but only a touch stick em on and see how it feels is the best answer I can give you, but if you are trying a really different gauge as in a lot lighter or heavier you will most likely have to make adjustments
