Luthier required, Stoke-on-Trent/Newcastle-under-Lyme/Crewe areas

Hi peeps

As the title says, I'm looking for a luthier in the Stoke/Newcastle/Crewe areas who can have a look at my Squier Jazz.

Being a complete noob, I bought it off eBay on the strength of some quite detailed photos, but I'm still not entirely sure it's set up particularly well. Either that or I'm just very poor at learning to play it

Also, does anyone know of a good bass tutor around the same areas?
