dunno, the wood grain seems a perfect match to the one on the ritter site, if the pics are genuine that is.

Haven't been to Everton for a while but the landscape in the background of the photo doesn't look anything like everton. More like switzerland/austria

If it is genuine, it's a great deal as these basses don't leave you much change from 5K or so.

I agree. The price alone raises alarm bells, but Liverpool/Merseyside has a pretty flat landscape. I know this might sound daft, but our grass in the UK is not that thick either. In other countries (like USA) grass is much wider and stiffer. This ad cannot be trusted.

Agreed, I know this area very well, can't think of anywhere that looks like this though.

Also the word 'diaper' rings alarm bells. Scousers have a dialect of their own but diaper is not one of the words I'd have expected..

Here's why I wondered if it was gen. This was apperently a copy including the serial number. Not a genereic copy but a specific replica of an individual bass. Interesting read

In my limited experience with another problem sale, Gumtree seem to be quite willing to investigate suspect sales if there's supporting evidence of shannagans. Maybe worth reporting it.

Nice work guys, I knew Ritters were expensive, but didn't realise quite how expensive they were, otherwise alarm bells would have sounded sooner..... :embarrassed:
