oldslapper Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 (edited) Status Energy 6 string bass. Made in UK. It's been re sprayed at some point in its life, has a small nick at top of headstock and a mark on the rear pickup cover. However, this is a fabulous sounding and playing bass. Very flat comfortable neck profile, 2 soapbar pups, active EQ with simple Volume, balance and tone controls. Had a new battery housing unit and set up recently. Fab bass, and I love the playability and tonal options, but alas my resolve to hang on to a 6 string has crumbled. I'm a 4 stringer, always was, always will be. £290 collected Dorset, or Bristol/Bath, or £300 posted. No case, but will be packed well with strings slackened to reduce neck tension during transit. dr.harry Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 I had the 5-string version of this some years ago (Only replaced it with another Status 5-string because it got stolen) This was the fastest, easiest neck I have ever played If anyone out there is considering a move to 6-string, this has to be the bass There'll be a lovely bit of wood under the black paint And just £300?! Absolute bargain GLWTS
oldslapper Posted December 26, 2013 Author Posted December 26, 2013
What year was this bass made?
I'm not sure, I'll ask Rob at status to identify the serial number and post up here.

Absolute bargain GLWTS
Thanks, it is a good price, but I was fortunate enough to pay not much more for it, just passing on the good fortune. It is a great bass as a main bass, for the price of a backup bass.
JohnFitzgerald Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Any interest in a trade at all ? TRB1005F, fretless in natural colour ? Tis a beauty. Just like this one.
oldslapper Posted December 27, 2013 Author Posted December 27, 2013
Any idea on the weight ?
Just weighed it 4.2Kg, or a tad over 9 lbs
oldslapper Posted December 27, 2013 Author Posted December 27, 2013 (edited) That's a lovely TRB John and I was tempted by same model recently, but I'm really a 4 stringer and want cash tbh Edited December 27, 2013 by oldslapper
gafbass02 Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 (edited) I think that's my old bass that I've wanted back desperately for years. If its not its bloomin similar. Amazing price too. Sadly it may as well be £3000 to me as I'm utterly broke Typical Then again there's a couple of gigs coming up, maybe I'll get lucky ! Edited December 27, 2013 by gafbass02
