Horizontalste
Thought this might make for a nice alternative thread, what are you're fave songs with Keys? Here's mine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Kobdb37Cwc Edited December 24, 2013 by Horizontalste
iconic
I do love a good keychange....seems to be dying trend...anything by barry gray is a key change frenzy.
chriswareham
Can't see the linked video on this device, but if it's key changes you're after rather than key(board)s then check out The Cardiacs. They invented what has been termed "prog-punk" or "pronk", amazingly fun music with a degree of complexity that's astounding but secondary to how good it sounds. Sadly their front man Tim Smith has been in ill health, and it's possible that he won't be able to play guitar again. Horizontalste
It was keyboards I meant but if anyone wants to add interesting key changes too then I'm all ears.
JapanAxe
I refer the keen listener to the key change in Michael Jackson's 'You Are Not Alone' - he sets you up for a key change from B to C, then goes to C#, but you don't realise he's done it. Utterly masterful!

Horizontalste
Not sure if it counts as a key change or they drop in an accidental (I'm a bit thick) but never the less one of my favorite songs at the minute. Nice to play too. lowdown
Ella Fitzgerald and Duke Ellington's version of Mack The Knife. Can't do a link but it is on Youtube.
It don't get any better than that for (the obvious) key changes - Although I do love both Sinatra's and Darren's versions. DaveFry
Favourite songs with nice use of keyboards ? Here's a couple of old Standards performed by the Spencer Davis Group with a young Steve Winwood on keys/vox . " Nobody Knows You When You're Down And Out " was written in 1923 by Jimmy Cox . This is from a 60's film starring the band.... " Georgia On My Mind " was written in 1930 by Hoagy Carmichael and Stuart Gorrell . 2:05 thumb pick bass !

chriswareham
For keyboards, check out the first Talk Talk album (from before they went all pseudo jazz and tedious). Great bass parts as well, plus the classic pounding Simmons drum sound.
