Thanks for the link! It is for a guitar version; however, the bass version can be found here: http://www.stringsdirect.co.uk/p/914059/daddario-cb045-chromes-xl-flatwound-bass-single-string-045-long-scale/ I had taken a look at Stringbusters but couldn't see that they offered singles.

At £6.99 plus postage of £1 UK or £3 EU, I'm willing to bite the bullet but I'd rather "help" someone by relieving them of one that is gathering dust!

Aha! Strings Direct on eBay do them at £7.99 a piece but with free postage in the UK. Problem solved!
