9pm, free gig at Ye Olde Swan in Burnham - friendly, fun pub where the band had their Halloween 70s night gig at the end of October

The gig was cancelled by the management at the very last minute!
We were only told as we rolled up the driveway in our cars, ready to unoad and set up.

Apparently there was a massive private party in the village, to which 70 of their regulars were going, and the pub would have been empty.
Despite one of us dropping a dozen posters with contact info at the pub a few days ago, and the band having been contacted and booked before by the same management, apparently they had no telephone number, email address or other way to get in touch before we arrived at the venue.

Yup, complete bummer but - in fairness to the pub - they paid a decent cancellation fee.

First time I've ever arrived at a gig to discover that it's been cancelled.
