B3k with 12 volts. Anyone tried it?

Hi all

I acquired a B3K recently, very happy with it I am too. I noticed some blurb on the website stating that you 'can experiment with 12v for more headroom.'

I don't have a 12v power supply so just wondered if anyone has tried this, and if so, was it worth it?

I did with both a 3 and 7K. I preferred 9v in the end, 12v just slightly lowered the gain and allowed a little more headroom, not worth the extra power supply effort for me

That sounds like you've saved me some pretty pointless experimentation! Don't want to lower the gain.
