Mike1962 Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 (edited) Reported to be the first 7 string Chris built this bass is awesome. 35" scale. 19mm bridge spacing. Pretty much the whole bass is gorgeous flamed maple, even the cores of the wings. The neck is 7 piece and the body wings are 5 piece. The fingerboard look like rosewood. This bass would be well over £3,500 new. There are a couple of dings on the bass but nothing serious. I had the bass serviced by Phil Hartley last summer including a fret dress and restring with Circle K round wound strings. It's currently tuned C-F#. It comes with a Hiscocks hard case. The tone is amazingly clear and it's really easy to play. Mike1962 Posted December 28, 2013 Author Posted December 28, 2013 it's 19mm at the bridge and pretty much the same as my Jazz bass at the nut. It's currently in the loft so accurate nut with can only be given when I have courage to go up there!
