Pretty much the whole bass is gorgeous flamed maple, even the cores of the wings. The neck is 7 piece and the body wings are 5 piece. The fingerboard look like rosewood. This bass would be well over £3,500 new. There are a couple of dings on the bass but nothing serious. I had the bass serviced by Phil Hartley last summer including a fret dress and restring with Circle K round wound strings. It's currently tuned C-F#. It comes with a Hiscocks hard case. The tone is amazingly clear and it's really easy to play.
