dincz
A couple of mine have broken although I'm always very gentle with my basses. Why does this happen? Are they a standard size? Thomann lists them but no size or brand info - 15 Euro postage makes it not worthwhile anyway. Another long shot question for the few Czech BC members. What are they called in Czech and where can I get some? BanditSid
I had the same problem on my Ibanez bass, I replaced the it with a stainless spring washer, it was the same thickness and has been fine since.
HowieBass
I don't know if Allparts in the UK would be any cheaper for postage but here's the page for the item http://www.allparts.uk.com/products/plastic-spring-washers-for-bass-keys-between-button-and-housing-8-pieces-white
dincz
Thanks to all for your advice. After having a brainwave and remembering I had credit with Thomann for reviews I wrote of other stuff I bought from them, I then found out the credit had expired So Allparts it is. Thanks again
dincz
As both Allparts and Thomann listed only one type of these washers, I assumed that they must be a standard size. They aren't and the ones from Allparts don't fit Looks like I'll have to go rummaging at the hardware store.

kevin_lindsay
I had the same problem on a Fender 5 string Jazz about15 years ago. I drilled a hole in a plectrum, and then trimmed it using a pair of scissors to get the round shape. 15 years on and its still intact, and the tuner works perfectly. threedaymonk
I think they might just be PTFE (teflon) washers, which come in a whole range of sizes for a few pennies each.
