Chaos Daveo
Howdo you nice lot, After being in metal bands and rock bands over the years I'm now part of a nice solid blues/rock line up. Pretty much we are now at the point of being gig ready the real struggle is I don't know where to start on the gigs circuit with being unfamiliar with blues venues across the uk and never really being the gig getter before. We have done a handfull of gigs with metal bands and stuff but its really not what we need... I'm off out to all the local pubs today in my area to dish out our ep see if we get any joy.. However I need a little help us getting started out so if any of you could point me in the direction of some blues venues near you id be most grateful or if you need a band to open up for you that would be most cool.. Thanks for you time and I hope santa was nice this year
Kirky
Have a look at the gig list on our website for some venues (link in my sig, below). We're not a pure blues band - my guitarist plays in a more authentic Chicago blues outfit - worth checking the places they play (these are pretty much all Yorkshire based apart from when they play festivals) - their Facebook page is here. skankdelvar
Good idea to tap up the local boozers. Also worth checking out other 'local' blues bands gig lists to see where they're playing. On a slightly wider canvas, here are some links to UK blues venue / gig listings. The ents 24 search is set to blues gigs in 30 mile radius of Stoke http://www.bluesinbr...nues-festivals/ http://www.movinmusi...ours/indexz.htm http://www.rockingth...%20&%20Gigs.htm http://www.ents24.co...Trent/radius/30 http://www.bluefront...es%20venues.htm Edited December 30, 2013 by skankdelvar

Happy Jack
Lemonrock. Lemonrock is your friend. Check out the main music pubs within 20 miles of where you live and note which bands play there regularly. Visit their band websites to spot which ones play blues. Then make a note of all the venues they will be playing in the next few months. That's your target list ...
