Annoying Twit Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 http://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_playboy_collectors_pack_no_7.htm Are there really people likely to buy such a collection for such a price?
icastle Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Extremely tacky IMO, but at about £150 per guitar they're not very expensive. I don't see them being a hugely sought after item at the moment, but I'm seeing guitars that were cr*p when new 30 years ago being sold for silly money nowadays, so who knows...
Dad3353 Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Shouldn't that be... Hugh Hefner 'Playboy Collector's Pack' ..?
icastle Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014
I'd like the puppy & kittens set..
I am so not going to go there...
Beer of the Bass Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 (edited) I think they're going for the rock bar wallhanger market. They'll sell a couple of sets I'm sure, but I doubt they'll ever get played. Edited January 1, 2014 by Beer of the Bass
JapanAxe Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 In the interests of fairness I looked at all the pictures. Correct me if I'm wrong, but does one of the 'artworks' depict a lady with a bright light shining forth from her secret garden? SimS LED mod perhaps?
KingBollock Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 I worked in a guitar shop back in the very late 80s. I remember a rep coming to show us a bunch of guitars and most of them had really tacky images of mostly naked women on them. There was also another which had a sort of 3D pyramid finish, which was actually quite cool. The thing is, I am fairly sure the guitars were Roscoes.
skankdelvar Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 (edited) More tackiness. Has the Hef decided that guitars are the way to prop up the Playboy empire? Moast awwsome guitar buyer's guide evuh, dude. . Edited January 4, 2014 by skankdelvar

Thunderbird Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 Apart from the tacky pictures I bet they are pretty decent guitars for the price that Harley Benton gear aint half bad

KingBollock Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 (edited) It didn't look anything like that. It looked like a desert landscape, dotted with 3d looking pyramids, all in shades of blue. I can't find anything that looks anything like it. Edit: The closest thing I can find is this: Imagine a blue background that goes off into the distance, dotted with pyramids that look like that, but all in metallic colours.
