Dennis1971 Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Post christmas fun... Just wondered what you would buy, might bring some fresh ideas to my mind. Happy new year. D. Quote
Lozz196 Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Seeing as I have too many Precisions already, I`d probably go for the Fender Road Worn Jazz that`s on here at the moment - tho I`d have to add £50 as asking price is £550. Quote
LukeFRC Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 my bitsa jazz bass and then spend the rest on a precision Quote
Jellyfish Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Definitely a fretless neck for my Alpher bass. Quote
Gust0o Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014
I'd put it toward a Gibson EB13
Seconded. Loving mine. Quote
BassBus Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 I'm just about to buy a new Cort Action DLX fiver for half your quoted price. Worth every bit of twice the price. Really impressed with the quality and sound. Quote
JTUK Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Since this is in the bass section, I assume you want a bass, I don't think any bass under £500 would be of interest so no sale in that regard... Quote
odysseus Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 If you bought one of the Chinese Fender modern player jazz basses, you'd have change from £500. I just got one as a back-up for my Stingray. Bloody good for the price. I paid £379 for mine. Bargain. Seeing as I've already got one of them, I reckon I'd go for an 8-string, probably the ESP one on GAK.... Quote
Gust0o Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Anyway, to answer the question properly - if I had some spare cash for indulging myself, I'd quite fancy a BC Rich Greg Weeks Eagle. Unknown on these shores. Quote
Roland Rock Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Probably a Kala U Bass to mess around on Quote
Pinball Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 If I was looking for a 4 stringer I would have this. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/225234-fender-american-special-precision-bass-2010-l450/page__fromsearch__1 Quote

ead Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 I might be very tempted by a pre-loved top end Ibanez SR 4-string. Quote
Paulhauser Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Probably a 5 or 6 string Ibanez SR, either Korean neck through or Japanese prestige bolt-ons. Or a Fender 4 string J or P, preferably CIJ if I can catch one. All used of course. Quote
Grangur Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Warwick Corvette fretless: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/219167-warwick-corvette-lined-fretless-nirvana-black-l519-offers-and-trades-considered/ Quote
