Do you ever get comments on your profile.?

maybe its just me. i got "blah blah blah", and "i couldnt agree more" .. oh dear,. sorry guys. really dont want to come across as annoying. never mind. would be better for people to put in on your threads/ posts etc.

I didn't realise that leaving comments on people's profiles was possible. I have now had a look at the profile settings thing, and I see there is a setting to disallow anyone from leaving comments.
So I have now selected this option. I don't like the idea of comments in my own profile somehow. Seems a bit too 'Twittery' to me. Any old troll or stalker could start leaving comments.
Although that does seem unlikely I'll grant you, since nobody seems aware of this function! (except icastle, but he know everything, lol )

I thought I had the "allow comments on your profile" function deselected, but I just looked & there was a comment from somebody asking me if I still had my MXR flanger for sale from nearly three years ago.

Are those comments not responses to the status updates that pop up down the side of the home page? Hence if you change your status then the old comments won't be making much sense?
