bassgirl17
Hi I've got a question about shifting position Maybe that's stupid but I have some problems with it and don't know what exactly I'm doing wrong. I'd like to know how to shift it smoothly.. for example - when I'm shifting, should I lift a thumb or slithly move it on the back of fingerboard, or move it hardly..? Or when I'm shifting with 1st finger, then thumb must be exactly opposite 1st finger or a bit lower..? I have many questions... could anyone help me please??? I'd be very grateful for any help

ubassman
Hi bassgirl17, this area I think is more for 'repairs and technical' issues relating to instruments rather than playing technique - try posting in the Double Bass forum - hopefully you will get a few more replies.
