BREEZE Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 I brought a Fender Jazz in 2004 its baby blue in colour. A leak from the upstairs flat, caused water damage to the neck, i had it repaired at The bass gallery in Camden, unfortunately they did not write down the serial number, neither did i, can anyone advise me on how to get the serial number? thebassist Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 How long have you had it? Maybe you could contact the previous owner to see if they know? Quote
madshadows Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 If you got it from a shop they may have records of serial numbers of guitars they sell, hope you sort it out John Quote
Roger2611 Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 I assume you have taken the scratch plate off? I was taking some pictures of a 79 Precision I plan to shift before long and that had the serial number on the back of the scratch plate and in the neck pocket Quote
AndyTravis Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Yeah, modern fenders usually have markings on the body to correlate to the neck. Quote
