So, I have a saved search, for a few things that I may be after . All well and good. Then message on my iphone notifies me that something new has been listed.
I go into eBay , and they tell me that my settings have changed and I must sign in. So I have to enter all the things I was after... If I can be bothered!

I have a prob at the minute where everytime i want to make a new 'saved search' it wont let me, tells me that i have exceeded the maximum number of saved searches. So I deleted a load, and now only have a few but it still wont let me save a new one.

Ebay gets on my t*ts sometimes

ive just noticed loads of spam emails from ebay recommending enrgy saving monitors

thing is i only searched for them on google i dont actually recall searching for them on ebay at all although i may have clicked a google link and landed on an ebay page but even if i did it was just the once - they then grab this and bombard you with it ! PITFA

is it poss to completely delete an ebay account? i dont have any seller history and only a small amount of buyer history so wouldnt be any great loss tbh as most of my GAS purchases are on here htese days

Not sure if all browsers are like this; I'm using Firefox. This has (upper right...) a 'Search' function, in which is a drop-down list of search engines. One may edit this list which, by default (in mine, at least...) contained 'Ebay', Amazon', 'Bing' and a few others I've forgotten. I cleared them out to retain only those I want ('Google' and 'Wikipedia'; ymmv...). I suspect that that's where these cross-linked search results are coming from.
I also use regularly 'CCleaner' to flush away all the accumulated crap, including cookies, which I don't want. I've specified a list of cookies to be kept (sites I trust...); the rest go down the pipes; splosh...
