MXR M87 Problems

[color=#282828][font=helvetica, arial, sans-serif]Ive just purchased a brand new MXR M87 bass compressor and each time i plug it to any power source the gain reduction meter lights up the whole way hence then when i turn the compressor on i get no sound as its so compressed [/font][/color] [color=#282828][font=helvetica, arial, sans-serif] is this faulty or is there a way round it? cheers[/font][/color]

Mine also does the lights lighting up at turn on thing. They then all goes back off within a second or so. Does yours do that ?

Not sure why yours has no sound though. I'm guessing you've already had a good fiddle with all the controls.

Hi yeah they come on as soon as power is connected but stay all the way up I've rang Thomann who i bought it off and they've told me to return it Cheers!

Yes, I'm sure Thomann will look after you. Certainly sounds like a faulty one.

Hi all I've heard back from Thomann who have received my returned M87 and they said its faulty and are sending me another one happy days Cheers for all your inputs
