New Volume Knobs

Hi guys,

Not sure if this is the right forum but I have a Yamaha TRB5F and I am looking to replace the volume control knobs. Can anyone suggest 1) suitable knobs that will work well on the bass and 2) a tech good at this thing?

If you need like for like knobs try yamaha uk they are very helpful, otherwise just measure shaft diameter and depth and then ebay is your friend.

Do you mean the pots or just the knobs? Makes a big difference!

I mean the knobs. The bass has the factory standard black knobs but I am looking for something to complement the colour of the bass itself.

You really don't need a tech to change knobs. They normally just have a little grub screw to attach them!

You get similar ones, but with a dimple so that you can see where they are set.

If I recall correctly the shaft size for these Yammys is 6mm but I am not 100% sure

There seems to be a 0.1mm discrepancy between the Yamaha stock knobs and the ones uncle is suggesting. Shouldnt be a problem...or should it?
