Lozz196
One 2010 US Fender Precision in black/black/maple up for sale. ITEM NOW SOLD The bass is in great condition, plays fantastically, and records very well, sitting perfectly in the mix. I`m sure we all know how good the post 2008 Series Fenders are, and this is one of them. Comes with SKB Fender branded hard-case, and full case-candy including tags. Not got scales but was advised when buying it that the bass weighs in at 9lbs. Links to full spec on Fenders website below, only exception being that the model shown is the post-2012 so it states Custom Shop Pickup - this bass being a 2010 does not have this. But don`t worry, the pickup is fine (I actually prefer it to the Custom Shop one anyway). http://www.fender.co...color-sunburst/ £650 and it`s yours. Happy with bank transfer, Paypal (but no fees ta) or good old fashioned cash on collection. No trades thanks. tedmanzie
Are you able to give an accurate weight? I usually take mine up to the post office for a cheeky weigh
tedmanzie
Another question - what is it about 'post-2008' Fenders that is highly rated? I've heard it mentioned a few times. Is it build quality or did they change the neck shape?
Lozz196
The 2008s were improved by graphite rods in the neck, and they also removed the S1 switching that had been in the previous series. I believe the outer layer of paint/whatever was also thinner to allow more resonance, plus there was the addition of a hi-mass bridge and lighter tuners. Saying all that though, it`s now been sold.
