peted Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 No prize for guessing my favourite. That's a great collection you've got there Thumbo. Quote
Bernmeister Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 woweee !! i'm loving your collection there especially the two sunburst fenders the warwick looks cool also mind you saying that the stealth jazz looks great too if only it were fretted but then again i would have been gassing for that ...... Quote
woodenshirt Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 Great basses Thumbo, Love the '74 Precision......looks like one I used to have a few years ago. I see that the red in the sunburst on the front has started to fade, the same thing happened to mine - I think it gives it a great look. Also I found that on mine, when outside in direct sunlight the black on the 'burst had a greenish tint - is that the case with yours? (I wonder if it was something to do with the paint they used at the time - had it with a Ric from the same period?) Anyway, one mighty fine looking bat! Mart. Quote
bass_ferret Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 Like the stealth Jazz. Would be even more stealthy without fret lines. Makes me want to change the bridge on my GB for a black one. Quote

It's not that noticable, but under really strong natural light it's visible. bass_ferret, I wish I'd gone for the neck without fretlines TBH! I actually find it easier to play fretless without the lines because it forces me to rely on my ears for intonation. My ears work better than my eyes. Thanks for the comments folks Quote
krazy_olie Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 I really like the look of the '74 P. Like what you did for the Stealth Jazz too. Quote
Mike Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Lovely stuff! Not my words, Thumbo - the words of Shakin' Stevens! Quote
