karlfer
And now for the "not David Bailey" moments . It's a slightly darker blue than Sonic, can look greenish in some light. Very retro though, IMO. Edit, looking at the photos, it will be cleaned before it goes anywhere Edited January 16, 2014 by karlfer
Isaaclefunkymakak
I had exactly the same and it was a great bass, love this unusual color!
karlfer
Thank you Mr Makak. PM's replied. Regarding the colour, if you look at post #2, photo 3 you can see the top horn. The bass appears darker in this photo. Awkward colour to photo but very good under changing stage lights.
BMBR
Very difficult to tell in photos but mine still seems greener (to my eyes) so maybe mine is sky green ? Was trying to think of an object which is a standard colour everyone knows (the blue/green equivalent of Cadburys purple) to photograph beside it to give the colour a reference point but failing on that at mo ! Yours looks lovely especially with the tortie - glwts mate - if I could sell mine I'd be v interested in yr white P !
stingraybassman
Karl, Please stop selling such desirable objects. That colour combo makes me feel a bit strange inside. Stop it!
karlfer
Thanks Mark, good luck with yours. Sorry Olly, them's the breaks This model was made between June 2000 and July 2003. The only colour with any resemblance to this , that was used for a time on these models, was Sky Blue (no. 51). Colours listed as used on this model (019-3400- colour number) at different times, were, 3TSB, black, Chrome red, Sky blue (all alder) , 2TSB, Sunset Orange trans (ash). Also used but discontinued were White blonde, Hot rod red, Natural ash, Aqua marine metallic. Looking at the Fender colour chart I was surprised to see that Sky Blue is actually a shade darker than Sonic Blue! karlfer
Sale on my white P fell through as buyer found one closer to his home. So this jazz is still currently for sale. Has been some interest but would prefer sale.
