Mikey D
A bit niche I suppose, but I've used Warwick Black Label http://www.thomann.de/gb/warwick_40310_ml_black_label.htm High C set for years on my Ibanez GWB35…I'm looking for alternatives out there, currently:.

Fodera "Matt Garrison"
GHS Bass Boomers
La Bella Nickel Plated (Standard or Custom Light)
Suggestions of other alternatives to check out or comments on how you found the above (Or similar for standard 4/5/6 strings)? I like a sound/strings without too much "top" and quite a warm sound with pronounced mid.
ambient
Maybe buy a 4 string set with a separate C string, lots of manufacturers do that.

Mikey D
I just put on the 100-80-60-40-20 set of warwicks and the nut was fine. I suppose the E has a little room to move when forcing it, but it doesn't budge when playing. Had to setup the truss rod and bridge saddles, but nut was fine.
