On a more general note is there a place here to report stolen gear (couldn't see one on a search) and if not, should there be one?

I hate seeing threads like this popping up - there are way to many thieving bar-stewards out there.

There's a pinned thread in the Bass Guitars forum that seems to cover any nicked gear, so it's probably worth cross posting there

I was just reading about this on facebook. Heard him play lots of times with this gear. Very sad!

That's sh*t, and having had stuff stolen, I can empathise, but - and I'm sure there must be a good reason, am I alone in wondering why you would leave your 'Ray, and two rucksack sized items in a van outside a Travelodge overnight?

Don't misunderstand me - you should be able to leave stuff in your vehicle, and I hope he gets them back.

This sucks big time. Matt's my bass tutor! He's had that Stingray for years. He's a working musician too so these tools are part of his livelyhood.
