Thanks Guys. I think I'll order up a set of Status 32" because they're cheap and I've never tried them, and fall back on the labellas if they turn out not to my liking.

I had a little go on one unplugged in GAK this afternoon. :)

Very nice, but, of course, it had roundwound strings which was bit of a passion killer for me.

Still .... we'll see.

Once you get the crap rounds off, it's a completly different beast

Absolutely. Roundwounds are just wrong on this bass. Another full day in the studio rehearsing with mine today and it keeps making me and my bandmates smile :)

I knew that really.

Have you got a case? Soft or hard? Apparently Jack Casady case fits but £99 :o

I've been using this gig bag from Thomann. Well padded and it fits like a glove.

Deceptive, because I would have guessed that didn't fit at all.

Is that slightly pink and black or does my screen need adjusting?

I know! I came home from the shop annoyed that they didn't have a case for the Coronado. Much to my surprise it fitted perfectly in this gig bag. It doesn't fit the Fender gig bag in which my P Bass came in, so it won't fit in any electric bass gig bag. And it's not pink. It's beige and black.

I'm getting bad gas for one of the Coronados or maybe a Starcaster - but I really don't know how I'd get on with the short scale. I'm happy with whatever nut width but have doubts about getting to grips with the scale length

I never find that a problem. Or, at least, no more problem than moving from upright to bass guitar or from 1.75" P nut to 1.5" J nut.

A few minutes to get the muscle memory lined up usually does the trick.

Or think of it as a 34" scale tuned down a full tone but with a capo at fret two - that's a 30.33" scale.

I've just got the bobbins soft case it came with from Wunjo. There's a pic on TB of a chap with his Coronado in a Jack Casady, but the ones I've seen online have an Epi logo, and that don't seem right in my head!

I had in mind a spray can of matt black for the Epiphone logo.

... and what is 'bobbins soft case'?

I din't have any problems adapting and I never owned a short scale bass in more than 20 years playing.

Thanks - you're not helping my gas :gas: I keep looking at them B)

That's the problem though. Spending a wad to botch it up. If Fender did one (or an indie) I'd snap it up.

Some of the gigs I'm gonna play now in the end of the month will be filmed and properly recorded. Soon I'll have something with the bass in the context of a band. With this bass I'm playing mostly pop /folk / alternative vibes, if that makes any sense.

Thanks! I am condidering one for my pop/jazz/singer-songeriter project where the other two guys plays acoustic guitars and percussion.

Do you know how the 760FS compares to 760FM and FL?
