All thumbs
Hi! It's a long story, but after several failed attempts to have companies like Richwood, Farida etc. take some great (imho lol) design ideas for a short scale bass on board I decided to take the plunge and have it built myself by the legendary Brian Eastwood. I'm absolutely delighted with it and there are a few unusual concepts going on with it which work really well (thank goodness). Check it out here... ikay
I love this bass, and the playing. A quality short scale like this has a lot of appeal. It's got me thinking...
mxm
Sweet ! Would love to see something like this available at a sensible price - especially a left handed version.
All thumbs
Thanks for the comments! :-) I'm working on trying to find a company who'd build it at a more affordable price. Will report back if successful...
Conan
Me likey!! Any bass that blends the better qualities of Alembic, Fender, Wal and Warwick (visually anyway) is fine by me. Tonally it is very interesting too. Sadly for me, I'm a larger gentleman and it would look like a toy on me. I'd love to try it though! Quite a conservative design compared to some of his others... [/quote] Haha - I had a Bender some years ago! He built it me as a Jazz and I had the East U-Retro in it. 'Twas an awesome bass, but the novelty did wear off after a while lol.
