Your Favourite Basschat Members' Bands

Basschat members in Cornwall are a pretty rare beast! The only member's bands that I have seen live are DeanoVW's Tumbao and Cameltoe's Hold The Sun, though they now have a different bassist. I keep meaning to check out Basschatters' recordings and live videos but I never know quite where to start! Best dive in head first I suppose!

Thanks for the link to the Share Your Music forum - I'll be sure to check it out! :)

I've yet to see/hear a Basschatter's band that I haven't enjoyed but to name a few I've particularly enjoyed -

The Jetsonics (Low End Bee) - Great tunes with a flavour that takes me back to my childhood/early teens.

The Plan (Waynepunkdude) - A lot of fun.

Wheels (I don't know his username, but I do know he does come on here from time to time) - fantastic songs and playing from a great bunch of musicians.

Burning Organ (Silverfoxnik) - now sadly over I believe, but simply an awesome covers band that can (could?) fill a pub anywhere.

Top of my list though is In Tyler We Trust (Hernandoitwt) - great songs, great musicians and absolutely lovely guys. On top of their performance as a live act, we're in the the same town, we've played the same local festivals, my singer's engineered one of their festival sets, I've stage managed one of their festival sets and they played a support set at my band's last headline show. Throughout, they've been reliable, friendly and had a thoroughly professional attitude. As someone who is involved behind the scenes they're a breath of fresh air - turn up on time with everything they need, set up and efficiently soundcheck when asked and break down straight after the set. Having worked four days across two festivals last year, they're one of the acts that gave us no headaches or nasty surprises. And that is very rare 'round here.

I like Jen & The Gents a lot, the band where 'beer of the bass' plays bass...

I could not find a video of my fave "Lost the groove", but this one is great too :)

I found Cherry White via a link on one of EliasMooseblaster's posts, bought their EP and have been listening to it a lot.

Free To Bounce is my particular favourite, with some great bass playing.

Cheers, but I like having CDs and just found their website so one is on its way I hope.

I think it's an age thing as I've always loved album covers and although CDs are less good at this I still feel the need to own them. Mrs ead despairs.

Number 1 for me has to be Silldx and London Zulu. I just love their whole Afropolitian groove.

Coming in in an equal second place is BRX with his rip-snorting Rock n' Roll mayhem that is Dick Venom, Clarky for the art-some left field fandango that is All the Queens Ravens and Happy Jack and Mac Daddy with their heads down, no nonsense, pint of bitter please landlord, classic rock n' blues that is The Junk Yard Dogs. All of them a grand night out.

Still trying to get to Kit Richardson, and hoping to see The Jetsonics, as they look my kind of bag

Thanks Sean :)

You can see yourself in this mate, the only video of London Zulu I know about.

Those amongst us are wolves.

I'm ashamed to say I can't recall the bassist/basschatter's name but I loves me a bit of post rock and this band are up there with the best of them.....

Currently listening to InFictions and enjoying it very much!
