Highfox
So, we supported Wilko tonight and the boys were really on form (as usual). We played pretty well as well and really had a ball I took some DSLR footage (and pics) of the gig the sound is a bit rough, recording wise, but you can see how hard Norman works. I had a nice long chat with him and he even had a go on my bass before the soundcheck and topped it off by saying if I ever wanted to sell it, I should contact him first He also said the Bass Centrer had made a signature version of his rhythm stick and that's what he used tonight. Sounded great with a the full SVT stack. I got a load of photos and more video if anyone wants to see? I even managed to get Wilko to sign my Tele. a really TOP night. Lozz196
Nice one on all counts Don, I`ve met NWR (though didn`t realise it was him at the time) and he was a really nice guy, very unassuming, and he/they (The Blockheads) didn`t let on who they were or do any of that star business, just enquired about how our rehearsal was going - we were at same rehearsal studio one eve. I saw him play with Wilko a couple of years back and the pair of them were just awesome.
Count Bassy
It's just great to see Wilko still out there gigging and having fun. An example to us all!

RandomBass
Blimey, watching that was a nice start to the weekend. I need to rethink the way I play that song. Actually I just need to do it properly, just like NWR does. A great post, thank you. Cheers Geoff

Thurbs
Thanks. I loved the energy of the band, really good. As an aside, not being a massive blues fan, nor of the band, I couldn't help but notice the drummer and wilco both seemed to play with much more dynamics than the bass player. It just seemed to me he played the same twelve bars, the same way, the same loudness all the way through. Perhaps it is always / meant to be like that? I would not know. Looked like a great gig mind.
