Annoying Twit
Over half an hour now, and still loads up. Hopefully this is because they're still available, not because their system isn't keeping up. I was tempted by the eight string, but googled a whole lot of videos on eight string guitar, and it seems that they don't sound good. Even clean, the 'bass' strings don't sound good to me. EDIT: PB gone. Edited April 24, 2015 by Annoying Twit
Owen
Glad I missed that otherwise I would now own a HB 335. Like I need a guitar in my life!
Vixivi
I was also tempted by the 8 string, i like me some djent/prog metal from time to time. But i already have my hands full with 6 strings on a guitar. I also checked out some soundclips and some sounded pretty crappy while others sounded quite decent, i think a pup change would make a world of difference tho. Vixivi
Well, it all comes down to personal taste. Everytime i listen to Leprous i gas for an 8 string.. They can make theirs sound so mighty. btw: P bass listed as sold out
uncle psychosis
What do you reckon the story is with a b stock deko? I'd be *slightly* worried that these ones are actually knackered. So tempted by a jazz though...

I've just looked on my account page and the order isn't showing, so maybe I missed the boat anyway. We'll see what e-mails I get next week. Annoying Twit
1975 bass gone now. It was up for a while. JB20 still up, as is the R458! I must admit that I'm not a fan of djent. I found some clean examples of eight string use, and while the guitar sounds were good, I didn't like the clean 'bass' string sound. Good luck to everyone concerning orders. If we miss out this time, I'm sure they'll all be back at some time. I'm not sure what a 'b stock deko' is. Curious.
yorks5stringer
B Stocks are always around 7% cheaper than the perfects and are often returns and Decos can be any price depending on the damage? I've just had to exercise some self control to stop myself buying a Jazz. Pros: it's cheap and look at all those parts if it is knackered. Cons. I have a proper Jazz and don't play 4 strings... I think my money is still safe!
Annoying Twit
Aaaannnnnndddddd someone buys the last LH start, and we're back in long term deko mode again. Fortunately there's the 5 string acoustic and baritone guitar there, so we're in better long term shape than we were some days ago.
Vixivi
Last night before going to bed i saw that the JB-20 was still available and well i couldn't resist so i ordered that aswell. Got confirmation of my order on JB and PB this morning. I'm a happy boy now!

Annoying Twit
Looks like we've (as a group) nabbed three basses from the last batch of dekos. Not bad.
BigRedX
Well I'm now a Baritone Deko owner thanks to Grangur. First impressions… The supplied strings are far too light and consequently way too floppy. The low B is lighter than my usual guitar bottom E, so the first thing I'll be doing is getting some decent hefty strings to put on there. I'm liking the look of the D'Addario 14 to 68 Baritone set. The bridge is a bit weird too. It's like a Fender Jaguar bridge which seems to me to be overly complicated, when a Tune-o-matic type with the appropriate radius to match the fingerboard would be far more suitable. That will probably be the next thing I'll look at replacing, especially if I find myself using the vibrato a lot. As for its Deko status… well apart from a couple of blemishes in the finish, I haven't yet found anything wrong with it. I'll give a fuller report once I've had some better strings on it for a while, but right now if you are looking for a Baritone guitar it's a complete steal at the current Deko price! Grangur
Thanks for posting this Mike. You're confirming a lot of what I suspected. I just didn't want to spend the money on doing that without knowing what I was doing was correct. if you can post a video or sound file of how I really sounds, that would be excellent.
