leonardobass Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Have you been happy with the acoustic dekos? I've been wanting to get one but i keep backing off from it,because they aren't as easy to fix... Quote
Andytre Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 I got a black 4 string acoustic, and it was, as far as I can make out, perfect! The only problem was they put the sticker for a 5 string fretless inside it by accident Quote
tauzero Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 I bought a 5-string fretless and it had the right label, plus one scratch about a centimetre long on the upper side. No problems with playability or electrics. Quote
Annoying Twit Posted July 6, 2015 Author Posted July 6, 2015 My four string fretless has a five string fretless label, as do the non-deko ones, it seems. It has limited sustain way up the neck, again as the non-deko ones seem to have. I'm very happy with it. Quote
ChristianJuschkat Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 2 days ago I´ve got my acoustic 4 String. It was nearly perfect. The finish has some decent scratches. The fretboard seems to be dried out. And the 11th Fret on the G String is a dead spot, but hey... for 50€ - no problem Quote
Annoying Twit Posted July 6, 2015 Author Posted July 6, 2015 (edited) DEKO! http://www.thomann.d...bass_s_deko.htm 5 string acoustic. EDIT: Surprised that nobody beat me to it. Chained to the computer all day. Go out for a lunch break to a local nature reserve, and when I get back it's already listed. Edited July 6, 2015 by Annoying Twit Quote

Looking for a natural 4 string acoustic atm, they never seem to come up though. Quote
CamdenRob Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 I waiting for a P bass... vouchers at the ready.... Quote
MMG Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Anyone any experience of the shipping of these? Ordered one last Monday, shipped on Tuesday and it hasn't moved from Koln since the 1st July! Quote
Andytre Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 I've had a few problems with slow shipping lately but i think it's due to the trouble at Calais, but I may also be wrong. I order a shorty P on the 30th and its only just entered the country today Quote
yorks5stringer Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 There was a thread last week about the Calais situation and how the OP could see Thomann boxes in the back of an opened Artic Trailer. Quote
mr zed Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 I've ordered some PA speakers - hope the boxes contain said speakers and haven't been replaced by migrants! Quote

kodiakblair Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 They definitely must come direct to Scotland. In 12 orders I've never waited longer than 3 days from order shipped, allowing for Sundays Maybe you should send them via my house . Quote

Maude Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Why do I keep checking every evening and morning for dekos? I don't need any more basses. It's now part of my routine, like brushing my teeth, last thing at night and first thing in the morning. I DON'T NEED ANY MORE BASSES! Quote

ChristianJuschkat Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 About the shipping duration. We have (had) a strike of the mailing company in germany. It lasted about 50 days and finished today. My guitar player still waits for his package - 3 weeks now. Quote
Andytre Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Shorty P arrived, took almost a week, had a quick look over and the only problem is the lower frets and fingerboard have some wierd gunk on them. His should clean up nicely though. Everything else works and after a set up should be pretty fun to play! It's also adorable! Quote

Does that mean 50 days of backlogged parcels to clear? That could take a while! Quote
