Ah, I just searched on Deko, etc and only got the HB acoustics. Good idea about the software poll, some things can sell off fast.

Yes, Looks good, seems to be only 24 hours later than usual due to seasonal demand. Mine left local depot heading for delivery at work - but I'm off today

Mine's been out for delivery from Coventry since 8:24 and it's nearly 8 hours later and it's still not here. It's only half an hour from Coventry to here. Damn these long multidrop routes...

Bass looks OK, can't find any faults except crappy strings - but that may be me.

Mine arrived at 19:30 or so, so that was a long day for the driver.

5-string fretless. Only obvious (not very) defect is a small scratch to the top of the top bout. There's a design flaw, in that the dot markers are in the fretted, not the fretless, position. 4-band EQ with volume and presence (I think presence is a contour type control), and built-in LCD tuner. Output via jack or XLR. No obvious buzzes or rattles; there was a rattle from the bass when I first unpacked it, but as soon as I'd managed to shake the silica gel bag out of the soundhole, it went away. Strings are bronze and rather heavy for my liking, so they'll get replaced sometime soon (which will double the price of the bass). Well worth £26.

I know that Karlfer's bass and the 414 are two different animals but I wouldn't like anybody to start
making comparisons.

He's got a cracking bass there so I'm quite happy to take a back seat today.

Definitely will do one tomorrow, I've some goodies to pick up from Parcel Force's Edinburgh depot.

Ah that would be telling AT

On track here though a friend in Spain who promised himself No Basses 2014 has just bought
a Deko 5 string fretless.

I swore I'd stop sending him links cause he'd blocked Thomann in his browser. Then I just happened
to mention the Dekos and how a bunch of us here had them, this was on another site and about
the other bass when he mailed me to say he'd weakened.

I hope he gets lucky and it arrives before Christmas and that the other box from Thomann his wife
bought him contains the other bass.
