tom1946 Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Just bought this for £46 delivered. https://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_b_450_black_progressiv_deko.htm hopefully it's ok, doesn't say what's wrong with it...... Quote

[/quote] I had one of those... Chunky p neck and decent variety of sounds. Like all the HB basses,it would be decent value at full price, so its a steal as a Deco Quote
Maude Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Does anyone know what strings the JB75 (jazz) comes fitted with? Quote

Maude Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Oh that's alright, I'll make use of them. Didn't know if they'd be no name 'el crapos'. Quote
uncle psychosis Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Does anyone know if Thomann still do vouchers for reviews? Quote
Andytre Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 I reviewed some gear not long ago, never got a voucher though I've kept the diadarios on my deko Jazz, quite like them! Quote
Maude Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 I got a €10 voucher for a review a few months back. It was for £300 item. There must be a limit to what they give vouchers for, I've ordered five other item to be sent with the Jazz but they only total £30 together. I'm sure I won't be able to review them in return for a €10 voucher for each one. Quote

kodiakblair Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 I just checked my Thomann orders page and there's no option to rate or review dekos. There's also a 50 euro limit for vouchers so might be when you've used them that's it. Quote
Andytre Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 That would explain it then ive had 50 euros worth already Quote
Maude Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 I've only done one review so might get a chance to review a couple of the cheap items I've just bought. Even more reason to get the gold sparkle Danelectro Longhorn I've been resisting for months. I can't hold it back much longer Quote
roman_sub Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 succumbed to temptation and ordered the fretless 4 acoustic on Saturday morning Quote
Twincam Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Haha my girlfriend has now got a deco on the way, she got the last left handed jb75. Not for her but for her dad as a gift, hoping it has only minor cosmetic flaws and as long as the truss rod reasonably works then I can fix anything else. Guess that means I will be showing her dad how to play too. So soon I will have a band of 3 bass players. Slowly I'm forming an all bass band ha. Quote
uncle psychosis Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 To answer my own question, yes they still do vouchers for reviews. Reviewed €60 worth of stuff, got €30 voucher in return. Top work! Quote
Maude Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 There's a large box waiting at home for me Quote
jonsmith Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Black acoustic bass arrived today as a backup for my Washburn acoustic. A couple of slight flaws in the finish on the headstock and a slight ding right at the end of the neck where it meets the soundhole. Nothing that I probably wouldn't have done myself within a few weeks! No playability issues at all - frets all seated correctly and no unusual buzzing. At full price this is probably not a bad bass and at this price, a bargain. Quote
Merton Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Just pulled the trigger on a 5 string fretless acoustic Quote
Annoying Twit Posted September 1, 2015 Author Posted September 1, 2015 Happy New Deko Bass Day JonSmith (and everyone else). I wonder if we in this forum have collectively bought more than a hundred dekos. Quote
jonsmith Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Thanks. Wouldn't surprise me if over 100 have found their way to BCers. I really liked the look of that Jazz as well. I really have no need for it though (or any room), so I must resist temptation if it appears again. Quote

Andytre Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 I'm on 6 Dekos, currently trying not to buy anymore! Quote
kodiakblair Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 4 Dekos from me. Can't see me buying any more. Owning every Peavey in Scotland has taken over Quote
