amitron Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 (edited) Hi, Used to play bass quite a lot but moved onto six string and home producing music with synths and stuff but recently picked up a chinese precision and just cant put it down. I also own an ashbory rubber stringed jobbie but not the same as playing the pres. I release psychedelic, ambient type tracks via netlabels. Am looking to pick up a mexican jazz or equivelant in the next few weeks so looking for ideas of whats out there and whats good. Music wise I like psychedelic rock, prog, jazz and electronica bit of everything really. Edited January 19, 2014 by amitron Quote
discreet Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 That's the trouble with Chinese basses... you play one, and half an hour later you could play it again. Welcome to the forum. Quote
BassTractor Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Hey Amitron, Welcome! I hope you'll thrive on BC. As to a Jazz, I think it's best to head over to the Gear section and have a look there, as this here section tends to be about saying hello. That said, the Squier Classic Vibe 60s Jazz is generally regarded as an awesome piece of kit, and probably clearly cheaper than a Mex one. Enjoy! bert Quote
