Clarky72
Does anyone know if anyone other than Carvin make something like this? http://www.carvinworld.com/products/single.php?product=SV2&cid=59 I'm looking for a 3U sleeve for an amp head rather than a regular rack case. Sean
Get in touch with Jeff at Matamp, he'll do you one. I got one last week, it's fabulous.
Clarky72
Cheers, how much did he charge if you don't mind me asking?
Clarky72
Also... after noticing your signature; BB2024X, way better than a 1024X?
Sean
Cheers, how much did he charge if you don't mind me asking?
£180 but that was with double stringers. I think plain would have been £150.
Sean
Also... after noticing your signature; BB2024X, way better than a 1024X?
The BB2024x is comparable to a Masterbuilt Fender, a Shuker or a Sadowsky, it's really up at that level of quality and finish. The wood treatments seem to make a difference and although I was originally cynical, the vibration process of distressing all the components and surfaces works. I checked with our chief boffin in work and he explained it to me. The pickups (which are the same as on the 1024) are astoundingly good. It's probably the best product I've ever owned and it's tattooed on me (the tat's award winning and magazine featured) - pics of which are on here somewhere. The BB2025x is slightly more aggressive sounding and wipes the floor with any other 34" 5-string I've ever played. Sean
My band were all, "Ooh, look he's got a new amp!" (I did not correct them on minor detail) and they reckoned it sounded better than the "old one" however said it was still unmistakably Mesa Boogie :-)
