basshead56 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 (edited) Here she is, the Xmas pressie I bought myself. It's an early 2000's CIJ 51RI Precison. The previous owner stripped it back to the wood and refinished in Transparent Blonde. He also stripped the neck finish, added a slight contour, replaced the jack socket with a Strat-stryle one, added a bakelite pickguard and a nic set of LaBella flats - all of the mods I would have made myself anyway! It THUMPS!!! Totally smitten!!! Only thing I'd do is add a bridge cover, which I will do later this week if I can find one... Edited January 20, 2014 by basshead56 Quote

Like the light relic [/quote] Yeah, it's a fantastic light relic job, just around the edges in places. It really does feel lived in, but brand new at the same time. The guy i got it from has a serious collection of MIJ/CIJ Fenders which he seems to be thinning out before he rotates back to the UK. A kindred spirit - these are all mods I would have 100% definitely made myself anyway. Just short that bridge cover and tug bar... Anyone got either lying about idle?
