Emailed Thomann to see if they would be selling this earlier today as I couldn't see it on their website and they got back to say they will be selling it at €177 - which works out at around £145 - although bear in mind you need to be spending €199 or over to get the free shipping.

...the Bass control is centred at 40Hz. Everybody seems to be doing that, I think it's too low.

Much too low. The real power of electric bass is around 80-120Hz. In my opinion. :)

According to mxr/ west side rep it is essentially the m80 with no drive and sweep able mids :)

And without the Color button, which frankly was the best thing about that pedal.

Bugger. More GAS now.

As much as i love my BDDI i dont use it for drive or distortion, and this new MXR looks like it covers everything else.

Looking forward to some real life reviews.

I must admit i was very underwhelmed with the Sadowsky DI when i had it. I felt it was nothing more than a subtle tone boost.
I know others rate it but i wouldn't put it in the same list as the others.

IMO of course.

anyone use this to help mould a dirty signal?

just thinking of something like this at the end of all my pedals to add a bit of eq and bass boost, and its smaller than both the aggie and sansamp di's plus i dnt need the dist from those.

I reckon it would be ideal for that.

Had a word with the guys from Dunlop who kindly gave me one to try. Really impressive and it's nice that it uses a 9v input and has an internal power double to 18v, so no faffing with about trying to find an 18v power supply or a power brick :-) looks cool and is compact compared to my Aggy TH. Awesome preamp for the money and I reckon I'll be getting one.
