lou24d53
Emailed Thomann to see if they would be selling this earlier today as I couldn't see it on their website and they got back to say they will be selling it at €177 - which works out at around £145 - although bear in mind you need to be spending €199 or over to get the free shipping. discreet
Going by those vids it seems to add a bit of reverb, too...
pendingrequests
The DI is very appealing. Although I may just go for the SansAmp and combine the DI with a sweet pedal already.

discreet
...the Bass control is centred at 40Hz. Everybody seems to be doing that, I think it's too low.
Much too low. The real power of electric bass is around 80-120Hz. In my opinion. 1976fenderhead
According to mxr/ west side rep it is essentially the m80 with no drive and sweep able mids
And without the Color button, which frankly was the best thing about that pedal. dave_bass5
Bugger. More GAS now. As much as i love my BDDI i dont use it for drive or distortion, and this new MXR looks like it covers everything else. Looking forward to some real life reviews. Me And My Bass
Has anyone pulled the trigger on one of these yet? I am looking for a new preamp pedal, want to add this to the list - Aguilar TH, Sadowsky DI, Radical TB . . . . .
dave_bass5
I must admit i was very underwhelmed with the Sadowsky DI when i had it. I felt it was nothing more than a subtle tone boost. I know others rate it but i wouldn't put it in the same list as the others. IMO of course.

0175westwood29
anyone use this to help mould a dirty signal? just thinking of something like this at the end of all my pedals to add a bit of eq and bass boost, and its smaller than both the aggie and sansamp di's plus i dnt need the dist from those. andy
doctorbass
Nice DI but seems pretty clean

Iheartreverb
How dirty does the M80 and M81 get? Everyone seems the reference the clean sound but in looking at maybe something just on over over breakup as many use a sansamp for
skej21
Had a word with the guys from Dunlop who kindly gave me one to try. Really impressive and it's nice that it uses a 9v input and has an internal power double to 18v, so no faffing with about trying to find an 18v power supply or a power brick :-) looks cool and is compact compared to my Aggy TH. Awesome preamp for the money and I reckon I'll be getting one. Edited June 28, 2014 by skej21
