louseskaman Posted January 22, 2014 Share Posted January 22, 2014 I play 98% of our set without a pic, but to get the nice 'chug' sound that a couple of songs sound great with, I use Jim Dunlop Nylon 0.88mm. not to soft...not to hard....just right.......luvly jubbly!! [/quote] Not wanting to put a damper on your scheme, but IME the picks used by most of the suppliers offering a personalisation service are the plectrum equivalent of Rotosound strings. [/quote] I see no problem in doing that, as long as you are aware they will most likely be novelty items and not get used. Sorry if that sounds like a bit of a dampener, it's a really nice idea. More grippy than most, and have a different feel - quite flexy at first but get a lot less flexy when you dig in. Really good for fast picking.
